Tip Of The Month

The IRS has changed the mileage tax deduction rate effective July 1st.

Business rates - increases from 50.5 cents up to 58.5 cents per mile

Medical and moving rates -
  increases from 19 cents up to 27 cents.

Charitable mileage -
remains the same at 14 cents per mile.

Can you believe how hot it got so early this year! Whew! And where did the spring go?? Is it summer already??

I know that summer may mean not-so-hot times for many businesses, but that slower period can be a good opportunity to re-evaluate and work on your marketing.

In a recent study, business travelers at DFW Airport were randomly surveyed about promotional products. They demonstrated the reach and recall strength of promotional products.

       - 71% reported receiving a promotional product in
          the last 12 months
       - 33.7% had a promotional item on their person
       - 76.1% of participants could recall the name of the
          advertiser on a promotional product that they
          received in the past 12 months

In comparison, only 53.5% of participants could recall the name of an advertiser they had seen in a magazine or newspaper in the previous week.
